The Next Stop receives grant

I was reading the Gwinnett Daily Post yesterday and noticed The Next Stop just received a grant for $1000 from the Gwinnett Braves. I sent an email to my friends, Stu and Vicki LaRoch, who created this program back in 2007, to congratulate them on their continued success and growth for this afternoon program.

To best describe what The Next Stop is, I referred to their website where I found the following:

The Next Stop is a 501(c) 3 charity that operates a program targeting high-functioning developmentally disabled adults (ages 18 and up) with weekly opportunities to socialize, enjoy recreational activities and learn life skills. The Next Stop opened its doors in September of 2007 serving 10 members two days a week. The program has grown each year. Now located in the Suwanee Sports Academy, The Next Stop serves 60 members three times a week with a growing waiting list.

Many thanks to the Gwinnett Braves for their grant to this fine organization in North Gwinnett County. If you would like to participate as a volunteer or to donate please visit, http://thenextstop.org
